March 3rd, 2008 - Stratus Alliance Network Adds More Aircraft Charter Operators


Stratus Alliance, the low-cost aircraft charter network aimed at business and pleasure travelers, has announced the signing of three additional regional charter operators to provide aircraft and crews to service new regions of the country as the Stratus network continues to grow.


Stratus Alliance is pleased to welcome Florida-based Destin Air Charters, San Antonio-based FlighTime, and Pittsburgh-based AirQuest Aviation. These new operators will complement Open Air, the inaugural Stratus Alliance Network operator, and will offer service from airports within a 50 mile radius of Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Destin, Houston, New Orleans, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Antonio and Washington, D.C.

A pair of Philadelphia entrepreneurs hope for a smooth initial landing in Houston as they coordinate and represent a group of FAA-licensed air carriers providing a new charter air service aimed at business travelers.


Harold Graves and Regis de Ramel, partnering with individual private investors in the cockpit, have formed Stratus Alliance. They say operators within the Stratus Network will be ready for takeoff with the first regional flights from Houston to other Texas destinations by the end of November.


The company intends to create an independent network of FAA-licensed operators using the Cirrus Design SR22 single-engine aircraft that will allow Stratus as the marketing and sales agent for these operators to provide service at significantly reduced rates compared to corporate aviation competitors...
